those people who are socially excluded
and assisting them to integrate into
society through the provision of
facilities in which they can meet to
undertake creative, physical or
recreational activities, learn or pass on
skills and knowledge, and support each
other socially. Predominately we are a
woodworking shed.

benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.		 Para 1.17 and
1.19		 Nuneaton sheds started in 2014 on the
site of the local hospital. It was started
with a handful of members and grew
considerably. In 2021 it moved to its
current location.
Over the following years, demand
increased to a point where there was a
waiting list. It was decided that proactive
action needed to be taken and a second
premises was identified and opened in
April 2025. This is a smaller workshop
but has the added benefit that members
can also work in the garden if they
prefer to.
Some of the projects worked on in the
first 6 months of becoming a charity
include:

Supporting the local Hospice with
ongoing work in their garden of
remembrance.
•
Mobile sweet trolley for the local
hospital
•
Display stand and counter for a
local florist
•
Bird boxes for a scout group
•
Mud kitchen for a school
•
Bird tables for a community
centre
•
Remembrance Day ‘Tommys’.
We also advertise online and individuals
can request items to be made.
The local council runs networking
groups, and we get together to see how
we can support each other
We take part in a local repair shop and
actively support the charity Macmillan
by participating in their coffee mornings.
This year we were proud to support
Remembrance Day by laying a wreath in
the town at the service.
