Activities
Nuneaton sheds opened over 10 years and are expanding every year. The National aim is for people to come together to build fix and restore wood working projects as well as themselves. Our group aims to combat loneliness and tackle Mental Health issues in retired members by providing a warm, friendly environment where members feel valued and they can learn new wood working skills.
Objects: The Primary Objectives Of Nuneaton Men And Women In Sheds Is To Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing Men And Women Within Nuneaton And Surrounding Areas From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society Through The Provision Of Facilities In Which They Can Meet To Undertake Creative, Physical Or Recreational Activities, Learn Or Pass On Skills And Knowledge, And Support Each Other Socially. For The Purpose Of This Clause ?Socially Excluded? Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of One Or More Of The Following Factors: Unemployment; Retirement; Old Age; Ill Health (Physical Or Mental) ; Poor Educational Or Skills Attainment; Relationship And Family Breakdown.
