To maintain and manage a community
hub for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of
Great Linford and the surrounding area,
without distinction of sex, sexual orientation,
race or of political, religious or other opinions
by associating together the said residents and
the local authorities, voluntary and other
organisations in a common effort to provide
facilities in the interests of social welfare for
recreation and leisure time occupation with the
objective of improving the conditions of life for
the residents.

For the public benefit the prevention or
relief of poverty or financial hardship in Great
Linford and the surrounding area, in
particular but not exclusively by providing
community meals, essential items, and by
operating a community fridge to provide
emergency food supplies and related services to
individuals who have been identified as having
afinancial need.
Summary ofthe main
activities undertaken for the
public benefit in relation to
these objects
GLCH completed more events last year and
opened the Hub for more days, than in previous
years, benefitting hundreds of different people
including around 150 regulars, and became a
registered CIO with 2 managers and an
increased financial turn-over.
We provided a warm space, with help and
friendly advice for those in need, extra food for
hundreds of people, support to the Parish
Council, and events for old and young alike.

Summary of the main Weekly activities included: achievements of the charity • Open between 3 and 5 days per week for drop-in during the year. warm drinks & snacks, social interactions, listening ear, advice/signposting – this service benefited hundreds of people over the year; • Cooked breakfasts served for 40 to 60 people per week; • Weekly social club with hot meal and bingo served 40 to 60 people per week; • Cream teas on Thursdays; • Knit & natter on Fridays; • Twice weekly community fridge served 90 to 160 people each time. Events included: • 7 jumble sales held last year – proved to be a very popular event that benefits people as a source of low cost household items, toys and clothes, as well as raising funds for the Hub; • 6 Litter picks organised by the Parish Council with support from the Hub • Summer activity sessions twice per week in August, for children & families; • Free coach trip to the seaside for local families during the school Easter holidays; • Christmas fair with Santa’s grotto and free presents for children; attended by over 300 people; • Easter celebration with free Easter eggs for the children, craft activities etc.; • VE Day celebration with traditional food Miscellaneous: • Formal registration with the Charity Commission was completed in May 2024: GLCH became a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation ( CIO ), charity number 1208125; • Several new volunteers joined the operations team.

Cash at bank at 05/04/2025was £20,576 in Brief statement of the unrestricted funds. The main financial risk to the charity’s policy on reserves charity is loss of funding from the Council and reduced donations. The funds are held to cover 9months operational costs in the event of a loss of income and to meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur.

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of Responsibilities and basis of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). report I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under s145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under s145(5)(b) of the Act. I have completed my examination.
