> **Summary of the main** _Weekly activities included:_ **achievements of the charity** _• Open between 3 and 5 days per week for drop-in_ **during the year.** _warm drinks & snacks, social interactions, listening ear, advice/signposting – this service benefited hundreds of people over the year; • Cooked breakfasts served for 40 to 60 people per week; • Weekly social club with hot meal and bingo served 40 to 60 people per week; • Cream teas on Thursdays; • Knit & natter on Fridays; • Twice weekly community fridge served 90 to 160 people each time. Events included: • 7 jumble sales held last year – proved to be a very popular event that benefits people as a source of low cost household items, toys and clothes, as well as raising funds for the Hub; • 6 Litter picks organised by the Parish Council with support from the Hub • Summer activity sessions twice per week in August, for children & families; • Free coach trip to the seaside for local families during the school Easter holidays; • Christmas fair with Santa’s grotto and free presents for children; attended by over 300 people; • Easter celebration with free Easter eggs for the children, craft activities etc.; •    VE Day celebration with traditional food Miscellaneous: • Formal registration with the Charity Commission was completed in May 2024: GLCH became a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation ( CIO ), charity number 1208125; • Several new volunteers joined the operations team._

**Financial review** 

_Cash at bank at 05/04/2025was £20,576 in_ **Brief statement of the** _unrestricted funds. The main financial risk to the_ **charity’s policy on reserves** _charity is loss of funding from the Council and reduced donations. The funds are held to cover 9months operational costs in the event of a loss of income and to meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur._
