Activities
Lifecentre Salford has been working alongside local people for community transformation since 2000 (previously charity number 1089030). We have a range of activities to improve health and wellbeing, predominantly in Langworthy and Weaste, but we have a number of projects which support people across the whole borough.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are, For The Public Benefit:-4.1. To Promote For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Salford And The Surrounding Area The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life Of The Said Inhabitants Including (without Limitation) Developing Their Physical, Mental, Moral And Spiritual Capacities And Enabling Them To Grow To Full Maturity As Individuals And Members Of Society;4.2. To Advance Education Through Use Of Training And Programmes For Persons Living In And Around Salford; And4.3. To Advance The Christian Religion By Communicating And Explaining The Christian Faith, As Opportunity Permits And In Response To Enquiry, Through Individual And Group Discussion And By Encouraging And Facilitating Attendance At Local Christian Churches And Meetings.
