Activities The principal activities which the Trust seeks to support are ( l) archaeological fieldwork at Nimrud; (2) support of post excavation work such as writing up and associated research; (3) research and documentation of the inscribed material; (4) publication of research; (5) delivery of lectures on this work to both academic audiences and the wider public; and (6) outreach work in schools. Achievements and performance The Trust has had an excellent year, supporting and participating in two seasons of field work at Nimrud, in Spring and Autumn 2024. The main activities have been.. ( l ) excavations in the Temple of Ninurta; (2) excavations in the Upper Chambers" the palace of Adad-nerari III. (3) copying and deciphering of inscriptions written in ancient Assyrian cuneiforn] writing; (4) work on the conservation of small finds; and (5) delivery of public lectures including in London at Mansion House and at the Palestine Excavation Fund.
