The Nimrud Archaeological Trust exists in order to support fieldwork at the site of Nimrud, capital of the Assyrian Empire from the early ninth to the late eighth century BC, including clearance and rebuilding, scientific excavations, geophysical survey, contributing to the design of an on-site Museum, producing educational materials, training, and working with local communities.

Objects: To Advance The Education Of The Public In The Archaeological Fieldwork At The Site Of The Ancient Assyrian Capital City Of Nimrud, A Site Registered On The Unesco World Heritage Tentative List, In Particular But Not Exclusively By Conducting And Supporting Archaeological Fieldwork, By Conducting And/or Supporting University Based Research And Disseminating The Results Of The Fieldwork And Promoting Awareness Of Our Middle Eastern Archaeological Heritage.
