Reserves On December 3 1st 2024 the Trust held £ 22,478.18 in reserve. the income over the calendar year was £60,759.77. Pllblie benefit In exercising their powers and duties the Trustees have coinplied with their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity Coinmission. Objects To advance the education of the public in archaeological fieldwork at the site of Nimrud, in particular but not exclusively by conducting and supporting archaeological fieldwork, conducting andlor supporting university based research and disseminating the results of the fieldwork and promoting awareness and knowledge of our middle eastern archaeological heritage. Activities The principal activities which the Trust seeks to support are ( l) archaeological fieldwork at Nimrud; (2) support of post excavation work such as writing up and associated research; (3) research and documentation of the inscribed material; (4) publication of research; (5) delivery of lectures on this work to both academic audiences and the wider public; and (6) outreach work in schools. Achievements and performance The Trust has had an excellent year, supporting and participating in two seasons of field work at Nimrud, in Spring and Autumn 2024. The main activities have been.. ( l ) excavations in the Temple of Ninurta; (2) excavations in the Upper Chambers" the palace of Adad-nerari III.
