Activities

We are a charity social group which supports children and young adults who have Down Syndrome and their families.We hold group family sessions consisting of meet ups and activities such as dance, circus skills, discos and trips -winter wonderland, festivals, theme parks etc. We hold more of these sessions during the school holidays when our members are more socially isolated and places to visit

Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is:the Promotion Of Social Inclusion Of Children And Adults With Down's Syndrome And Their Families And Carers Living In Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire And The Surrounding Areas Who Are Socially Excluded From Society Or Parts Of Society As A Result Of Their Disability By:(1) Providing Social And Recreational Opportunities And Skills Development To Support Such Persons To Overcome Inequality And Disadvantage.(2) Providing A Local Network Group To Promote Resilience And Widen Their Personal Support Network.(3) Providing General Support, Practical Advice, Advocacy And Emotional Support For Such People.(4) Promoting Public Awareness Of The Issues Affecting Such People, Both Generally And In Relation To Their Social Exclusion And Needs.
