| Our Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) was set up in 2021 in anticipation of the closure of RAF Scampton and its RAF managed Heritage Centre in December 2022. The principal activity of planning for station closure, and how our charitable objects would be be taken forward with the station’s new owners, was overtaken by HM Government Plans to house Asylum seekers on the station once it was decommissioned. The evolving activity of the group has involved liaison with relevant parties to ensure that the station heritage is preserved, irrespective of the occupier, until such time as active heritage activities can be resumed. No expenditure has been incurred as Trustees contribute their time pro bono. Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit but no expenditure has yet been incurred by the CIO. |

Section D Achievements and performance In the reporting period, RAF Scampton stopped accepting visitors and the Summary of the main Charity worked with the RAF to try to preserve a nationally and achievements of the charity internationally important collection form dispersal. We also worked to try during the year to ensure that artefacts loaned to the RAF were returned to their rightful owners. Following HMG’s decision to not allow the sites immediate transfer to a commercial organisation with whom we had been developing a heritage plan, we supported West Lindsey Council in developing heritage preservation measures. As the asylum seekers’ accommodation was always going to be a finite time we have maintained contact with interested parties for when heritage activities can resume.
