We thank our Board of dedicated volunteer trustees who continue to provide their time to make sure Lambeth Links keeps on linking.

Section D Achievements and performance

Our overall main achievement for this reporting year has been the Summary of the main recruitment of our first paid employee. Thanks to a grant from Lambeth achievements of the charity Council’s Social Value Fund we now have a Project and Governance during the year Coordinator to help with the work of the charity.

We received 52 applications to the advert and invited 12 to interview. It was great to receive so many applications and have a wide pool from which to recruit. We are incredibly pleased to have been joined by Cheyanne Henderson (she / they) who has added much needed support and value from the very beginning.

In recognition of our volunteer board of trustees, we successfully collaborated with a local charity, Age UK Lambeth, a contract that means they employee Cheyeanne who is then seconded to Lambeth Links. This means that Cheyanne has the full support of an organisation with the relevant policies and procedures in place to ensure proper support and also means that payroll, PAYE etc. is taken care of, reducing the administrative burden on volunteer trustees.
