Activities

We provide young victims of bullying and hate crime, and their families, with advice, guidance, advocacy and practical support to help alleviate their sense of hurt and helplessness, inform and empower their emotional response, recovery of pride and ambition. We provide a listening ear and range of health improving activities - independently and with specialist partners.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:1) The Preservation And Protection Of Good Mental And Physical Health Of All Persons In Merseyside And The North West Of England Who Are Affected By Bullying And Hate Crime In All Its Forms, In Particular But Exclusively Through:a) The Provision Of Information, Advice And Support In A Safe And Confidential Environment To Anyone Affected By Bullying And Hate Crime And Their Families, Carers And Friends;b) Access To A Network Of Trained Volunteers Who Are Able To Offer Emotional Support To Individuals In Distress Where Required, In The Form Of Talking Therapy, Designed To Provide Informal Early Intervention To Minimise Escalation Of Mental Health Problems; C) The Provision Of Talks, Workshops, Drop In Sessions, Peer To Peer Support, Self-Help Materials, Specialist Training Courses, Online Tools And Resources Designed To Raise Awareness Of And Address The Negative And Harmful Effects Of Bullying And Hate Crime In All Its Forms And To Promote The Safe Use Of Social Media;d) A Signposting And Referral Service To Registered And Regulated Public And Third Sector Service Providers To Support Mental Health Wellbeing;e) Grants Of Financial Assistance To Enable Victims Of Bullying And Hate Crime To Access Private Counselling Sessions And Therapeutic Services Through Registered And Regulated Service Providers. 2) To Advance In Life, Relieve The Needs Of And Help Young People Through:a) The Provision Of Recreational And Leisure Time Activities Provided In The Interest Of Social Welfare, Designed To Improve Their Conditions Of Life;b) Providing Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.
