Annual report 1st April 2024 to 31 March 2025
Aims & Objectives Joels Goals initial aim was to provides support for young victims and families of children that have been subjected to hate crime. This work has progressed to work with those with Mental health issues, that could lead to suicidal thoughts, after being subjected to hate crimes, or PTSD after witnessing or finding a suicide victim. We continue to listen and provide advice guidance and practical support referencing agencies to alleviate their sense of hurt, shock and loneliness. We provide a listening ear and a range of health improving materials, both independently or via our referral partners.
Inclusion, signposting and listening ear for vulnerable adults who seek comfort or support with likeminded people.
Summary of activities,
April 2024
Each Monday evening based at Big Life Liverpool the trial men's mental health group met from 7pm to 9pm focusing on men's mental health and sharing experiences from their day-to-day life. Signposting if required to do so ensuring a safe environment for all.
Refreshments Coffee, tea, biscuits, and cake were provided along with a donation of food for the Big life Charity each week from Joels Goals Charity.
May 2024
05[th] May 2024 The men's mental health group for Joel’s Goals hired transport and travelled to Wales to complete the walk to Snowden. Raising awareness for men's mental health and wellbeing. This was a successful and memorable event creating positivity and confidence for all who were involved.
Joels Goals Charity continued the weekly men's mental health group each Monday evening, along with reaching out to the homeless communities providing donations for clothes, food and refreshments for all events.
June 2024
The founder Ruth contacted the knitting group from the feel-good factory in Netherton to order hats, scarves and gloves in preparation for the donation to Action for homeless in October 2024.
Joels' goals continued to support via online activity, networking and providing continuous support and signposting to various charities.
July 2024
The founder continued with community events supporting mental health. In addition to this, reaching out to bereaved parents and having get togethers to support one another throughout July.
August 2024

September 2024
Continuous networking and raising awareness. However, met up with Carol Golightly from Thingwall Community centre with plans to introduce a weekly open house project, providing hot food and drinks to people within the community. The incentive here was to alleviate feelings of loneliness throughput the community offering an open safe space to come in chat and be provided with hot/cold food and drinks.
October 2024
Joels Goals Charity organized and collected the generous donations
Donation to Action for the homeless via the feel good factory donated hats, scarves gloves, for the homeless. Joels goals donated a large amount of unperishable food items for the homeless., including tea, coffee, hot chocolate crisps etc.
November 2024
Meetings with Michael Horsley from Capieira CIC to arrange a full review and rescript for Joels Goals Film. A deposit for £2000 successfully paid.
Co-Op funds received £1638.12
December 2024
Promotional work conducted and materials were purchased in preparation for the forthcoming Joels Goals open house project at Thingwall community centre starting 28/01/2025

Joels Goals arranged with the local caterer purchasing 4 weeks of Hot and Cold buffet food which was provided every Friday afternoon 12 noon until 3pm for the Open House project at Thingwall community centre
February 2025
Continuation of the Friday afternoon open house project with lots of positive feedback received. Joels Goals organized and purchased board games and a karaoke machine to ensure there would be inclusive activities for all.
March 2025
Ongoing and still providing the weekly pop up support group at Thingwall community centre each Friday and arranging a forthcoming community psychic night event tickets were on sale
