Activities
The Trust supports activities and organisations that serve the wellbeing, education and development of children and their families living in Camden. By working with children from an early age alongside their families, we believe their quality of life can be improved and opportunities for education and employment broadened. Currently, we help fund the Edith Neville School Family Centre.
Objects: The Object Of The CIO Is:to Advance The Education And Development Of Children And Their Parents/carers Living South Camden Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions In Particular But Not Exclusively By: A) Providing Child Development And Parenting Skills Training To Parents/carers B) Providing Safe Group Play And Other Activities Designed To Support Children’s Social And Emotional Development;c) Providing Support And Activities Which Develop An Individual’s Capabilities, Competences, Skills And Understanding; D) Providing Activities Designed To Preserve And Protect The Physical And Emotional Health Of Children And Their Parents/carers;e) Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Children And Their Parents/carers With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life; F) Making Grants Of Financial Assistance To Charities And Voluntary Organisations Working To Support Children And Their Parents/carers And Promote Good Parenting; Andg) Making Grants To Local Authority Organisations Such As Schools, Nurseries And Children’s Centres.for The Purposes Of This Clause:• Charities Are Organisations, Which Are Established For Exclusively Charitable Purposes In Accordance With The Law Of England And Wales. • Voluntary Organisations Are Independent Organisations, Which Are Established For Purposes That Add Value To The Community As A Whole, Or A Significant Section Of The Community, And Which Are Not Permitted By Their Constitution To Make A Profit For Private Distribution. Voluntary Organisations Do Not Include Local Government Or Other Statutory Authorities.
