Sound World activities fall into three basic categories.1. Music education - including composition workshops, talks & an annual competition for young composers.2. Music promotion - concerts & multimedia productions such as In The Steps of Apollo a planetarium music show.3. Music commissioning - working with a range of composers from young composers to those with international reputations.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:1) The Advancement Of Public Appreciation And Knowledge Of Classical Music Through The Promotion Of Live Performances (Including Contemporary Music) Of The Highest Standard.2) The Promotion Of Musical Education, Knowledge Creativity And Composing Skills Of In Particular But Not Exclusively Young People.3) Such Other Charitable Purposes Beneficial To The Public Consistent With The Objects Above As The Trustees In Their Absolute Discretion Determine.
