Activities
To offer a context in which members (partners and carers) can expect friendship, compassion, practical and emotional support on either a one to one or a group basis. In addition the Group will take opportunities to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
Objects: The Promotion Of Good Health And Relief Of Sickness Amongst Urology Cancer Patients In The Isle Of Wight And Surrounding Areas, In Particular But Not Exclusively By Providing:i) Non-Medical Support To Local Urology Cancer Patients, Their Families And Carers; Raising Awareness Of Urology Cancer And It's Treatment; And Planning Activities To Create Opportunities Where This Can Take Place.ii) A Regular Forum For Urology Cancer Patients, Their Families And Carers, To Discuss One-To-One Or Openly, Their Experiences Of The Cancer And Their Treatment; Further To Discuss Generally The Cancer Service Provided On The Island And On The Mainland.iii) A Direct Link Between Service Providers, Those Commissioning Services And Patients, Their Families And Carers
