Oth¢rwi5e. the Trust had little operational activity during 2021 although resolved sotneoutstanding administr*iv¢ matter5 to Sort out some residual amount5 of mot)¢y drawn down forpast events but no longer r¢quired. We also rememb¢r those who were killed And injured at Manchester AT¢na on 22 May. As a victim of a terTorist incidett( the trustees consideitd that his next-of-kill were eligible for an award frnm the ThisL in the sam¢ way as the benefJciBries of the other in¢idents we have dc< with re¢¢ntyear5. Although this wa5 an incident occurring outsid¢ of GreAtcr ndon. LET has the legal power to make and admtnister sych an award. This one payment was administered from within existing resourc¢8 so no fomial re-activation of the charity was required. The only other signifEcanl action was the fEnal T¢con¢iliation of funds held from previous incidents and the repayment of funds no lollger r¢quired for distrÈbution back to the BRC UK Solidarity Fund. The Tru3t'5 distribution of fund$ b¢ld for th¢ victims of the Grenfell Tower fwe was pleted in 2020, with the administrdtion of four trusts estsblish¢d for minor%e beneft¢iaries t)ow in the hands of Wrisleys LLP. During the Yr, the LETiru5tees rec¢ived theirftrstannual report from Wrigleys assuringthem ofthe gth)d management of the funds. LBRCF wound up its grant-making activities approximat¢ly 18 months after beginning its worl haviog distributed £12m of donations lo those bereaved and Ènjuttd by ihe 7n bombings. 14.2 LET'S core work took a SiEnilar tim¢ to execute. extended to respond to the tnctdents in 2019, 2020 a[ 2021. As a result. Trustees have not prioritised the build-up of re5erve5 beyond those sums necessary to fuifjl on-going comM¢[al, legal and compliance obligations.
