Activities
London Emergencies Trust (LET) works to relieve sickness or disability, whether physical or mental, of victims of emergency incidents and their dependants. It also relieves financial need among the victims of emergency incidents, including their families and dependants. And it supports other appropriate charitable purposes as decided by its Trustees.
Objects: The Objects Of The Charity Are:- To Relieve Sickness Or Disability, Whether Physical Or Mental, Of Victims Of Emergency Incidents And Their Dependants;- To Relieve Financial Need Among The Victims Of Emergency Incidents, Including Their Families And Dependants; And- To Support Such Other Exclusively Charitable Purposes As The Trustees Shall Consider Appropriate.in The Articles, Charitable Purposes Means Purposes That Are Charitable In Accordance With The Law Of England And Wales, Provided That IT Will Not Include Any Purposes Which Is Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 And/or Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. For The Avoidance Of Doubt, The System Of Law Governing The Constitution Of The Charity Is The Law Of England And Wales. "Emergency Incident" Means Such Major Disaster, Accident Or Other Incident Occurring In Greater London And/or Affecting The Inhabitants Of Greater London, Or Occurring Simultaneously In Greater London And Anywhere Else In The United Kingdom, As The Trustees May By Resolution Designate.
