The Vivekananda Human Centre promotes the philosophy of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda of Human Excellence, Unity in Diversity, Universal Tolerance, Harmony and Peace. It stages events through the course of the year to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds - regardless of age, belief, gender or sexuality. Events include an annual "Festival of Unity in Diversity."

Objects: The promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse background and the prevention or relief of poverty in the UK and overseas by providing: grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.
