Main Focus- Volunteer Led Food redistribution activities, 1- Food4me Friday Foodbank providing food and essentials donated by local supermarkets, organisations and community members which those in need who are referred or self-refer come to collect food parcels to combat food poverty and minimise food waste from supermarkets 2- Providing social inclusion well- being activities, to combat loneliness and isolation by providing support, signposting to statutory services for those who visit the foodbank 3- Access to redistribution of fresh food surplus and promotion of healthy eating 4- Food4me Wednesday Food and essentials redistribution providing food, toiletries, essentials surplus items from supermarkets and organisations some of which may go to waste due to short shelf life or near expiry date |

Para 1.38 | We are volunteer led and our volunteer professionals also gave pro-bono support food distribution in our food bank including acting as social welfare advisors supporting community members and sign posting to statutory services. They assist, signposting to statutory services form filling and translation support where needed especially for those with disabilities, refugees and migrants who access the food bank. Volunteers assist in registering and packing food parcels for attendees from donated stock. |

Para 1.20 | We have managed to have more food redistribution from a wholesaler of Halal food products which has enabled us to service our wider diverse community members as they offer us periodic suppliers of Halal products. We also had a donation of good quality clothes which were preloved and some brand new and this was distributed to those in need who attended the foodbank We now have a core group of 15 trained volunteers who offer their time twice a week to help with food/cloth redistribution, signposting on rotational basis. . |
We continue to operate twice a week all year. Some of our volunteers have been supported to obtain , generalist welfare advice training and to develop employability skills to enable them be supported into paid work in other establishments.
