The reference and administrative information set out below forms part of this report. The financial statements have been prepared by LHK Chartered Accountants, acting as independent examiners. Strurture, governance & management Birmingham Outreach Foundation (BOF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to serving local people in need. The charity was registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organlsatlon {CIO) on 15th August 2016, All Trustees voluntarily give their time and expertlse to the or8anlsatlon and do not recelve any form of payment, wages, or relmbursement from BOF. Any expenses incurred are met personally by the Trustees and not from the charity's funds. The Trustees meet annually to review the charity's aims, objectives, and activities. This report outlines the charity's achievements and the impact of its work during its eighth year, which concluded on 315t January 2025. It also provides a summary of the charity's projects, highlighting the support delivered and the difference made to beneficiaries. The charity continues to rely heavily on volunteers, and the Trustee5' review process ensures that its work remains closely aligned with its charitable purposes. Objectives and activlties Birmingham Outreach Foundation {BOF) exists to provide support and relief to those in greatest need within Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Its charitable objectives are: l. The preventlon or rellef from poverty in 8irmin8ham and the surrounding area, through the provision of food and basic essential items to individuals in need. 2. The promotlon of social incluslon amongst vulnerable members of the community who are excluded from society because they are unemployed, homeless or who are struggling financially, by the provision of advice In relation to housing, employment and welfare, as well as other areas which the trustees deem fit. 3. To further such excluslvely charltable purposes for the public benefit according to the law of England and Wales as the charity trustees shall in their absolute discretion determine. For the purpose of clause 2 'socially excluded, means being excluded from society, or part of society, as a result of being a member of a socially and economically deprived community. Our vision is to make a positive difference in society for those in need. We aim to foster collaboration and build partnerships with other charities, harnessing the ski115 and resources of our Trustees to create a stronger, more inclusive community. The project was based at The Old Square, Birmingham City Centre, and ran from Ilth March 2024 to 19th April 2024. During this period, the charity raised £21,467.23 through the generous support of individual donors, community contributions, and one grant, alongside a surplus of £7,660.91 carried forward from the previous financial year. Thanks to this funding and the dedication of our volunteers, BOF provided more than 4.560 hot meals to homeless and vulnerable indlvlduals across Birmingham. Beyond addressing the urgent need for food, the projects also fostered a sense of dignity, care, and belonging within the community. In line with our commitment to health and 5afetyi the Trustees ensured that strict protocols were observed throughout all activities. Volunteers were required to wear disposable gloves while serving food or assisting beneficiaries, thereby safeguarding hygiene standards and protecting both recipients and volunteers. Anyone unwilling to follow these procedures was not permitted to participate, reflectin8 the Foundation's firm prioritisation of responsibility and wellbeing.
