Activities
The charity pursues objectives in education & promotion of health in individuals with type 1 diabetes by hosting an annual conference for those affected by the condition: 'Friends for Life'. Provides talks from clinicians, researchers & inspirational speakers and opportunities for peer support. Several businesses sponsor the event and provide exhibits. The UK conferences started in 2017.
Objects: The Objects Of The Charity Are, For The Public Benefit:2.1 To Advance The Education Of The Public In All Subjects Relating To Diabetes (And, In Particular, Type 1 Diabetes); And2.2 To Promote And Protect The Health Of Individuals Living With Diabetes (And, In Particular, Type 1 Diabetes), In Particular But Not Exclusively By:2.2.1 Providing Education In All Subjects Relating To Diabetes; And2.2.2 Providing Support And/or Care To Individuals With Diabetes And Those Who Care For Them.
