The charity remained available 24/7, 365 days of the year to respond to calls for assistance. Volunteers are contactable by telephone, VHF radio and Broadnet radio and will mobilise whenever required. These requirements can include transporting nurses from home to their place of work when ordinary means of transport are not suitable or available. transporting urgent blood samples from GP practices to the laboratory in Aberdeen and assisting Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service during periods of flooding, wildfire or other adverse weather. In addition, we will respond to any call for assistance from category 1 responders during critical incidents or major civil incidents.

Objectives: To promote the welfare, relieve the needs and protect and preserve the health of those in the community who are isolated during periods of adverse weather conditions, environmental hazard and local emergencies.
