Activities

Restore Community was set up to run community transformation projects. It is currently running the Oakwood Hill Community Centre and one in Trinity Church as well as the Loughton Grow Community Garden. The charity also delivers education and community support to a number of communities in Northern Zambia.

Objects: (1)The Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty And Financial Hardship In Areas Of The UK And Overseas By Such Ways As The Trustees From Time To Time Think Fit, In Particular, But Not Exclusively By:a) Providing Emergency Food, Essential Toiletries, And Household Items To Individuals And Families In Need;b) Such Other Means, Including (But Not Limited To) The Provision Of Support Or Signposting To Relevant Information And Other Advisory Services;c) The Running Of A Project Working With The Inhabitants Of Northern Zambia (Beyond Ourselves).(2)to Promote Social Inclusion For The Public Benefit By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society.for The Purpose Of This Clause ‘Socially Excluded’ Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Part Of Society, As A Result Of Being A Member Of A Socially And Economically Deprived Community.”
