Activities
To enable adults with a learning disability from across Warwickshire to explore learning disability issues in drama workshops at the Owen Street Community Arts Centre in Atherstone to include mine, role-play, improvisation and song. We work with professional sessional workers and volunteers from the world of theatre to devise and perform stage productions and community based theatre.
Objects: The Promotion Of Social Inclusion Among Adults With A Learning Disability From Across Warwickshire Who Are Socially Excluded From Society Or Parts Of Society As A Result Of Their Learning Disability By;a)exploring Learning Disability Issues In Drama Workshops;b)engaging With The Wider Community And Organisations To Raise Awareness About Learning Disability;c)helping Them To Learn New Skills In The Performing Arts To Build Their Confidence And Independence And Raise Their Self-Esteem And Help Promote Their Social Interaction And Intergration Within The Wider Community.
