Objectives and activities

To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 18 living in the Parish of Wickwar and the surrounding area in Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its South Gloucestershire by providing advice and assistance governing document and organizing programmes of physical, educational and other activities.

The focus of our activities is to provide a programme of positive activities for the young people aged between10 and 18years in our rural village.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects

This benefits the young people by developing their self confidence, social and life skills. We welcome all young people regardless of background, faith, gender or personal circumstances and seek to develop a tolerant inclusive community.

This report covers the Covid-19, 1[st] , 2[nd] and 3[rd] lock down periods. We closed the centre during these times but offered Zoom sessions twice a week to replace actual sessions. In addition we delivered activity packs each week to the homes of the members requesting them.

Achievements and performance

Our programme of activities for the 8 weeks we were allowed to open covered:

The groups were divided in half due to the Covid-19 number restrictions and each member could only attend once a fortnight.

The Zoom sessions were mainly fun activities regarding quizzes etc. and also opportunities to explain “how to do” the activities which had been delivered, and to raise any mental health problems they were experiencing.
