Activities
The focus of our activities is to provide a programme of positive activities for the young people aged between 10 and 18 years in our rural village of Wickwar. This benefits the young people by developing their self confidence, social and life skills. We welcome all young people regardless of background, faith, gender or personal circumstances and seek to develop a tolerant inclusive community.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:to Act As A Resource For Young People Up To The Age Of 18 Living In The Parish Of Wickwar And The Surrounding Area In South Gloucestershire By Providing Advice And Assistance And Organising Programmes Of Physical, Educational And Other Activities As A Means Of: (a) Advancing In Life And Helping Young People By Developing Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Independent, Mature And Responsible Individuals; (b) Providing Recreational And Leisure Time Activity In The Interests Of Social Welfare For People Living In The Area Of Benefit Who Have Need By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability, Poverty Or Social And Economic Circumstances With A View To Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Such Persons
