Securing the most basic freedoms for people requires frontline activists challenging injustice and building on-the-ground demand for change. The Fund for Global Human Rights UK helps human rights defenders get the funding needed to sustain and strengthen their work. The overall goal is to improve justice, accountability and equality and to ensure that gains are sustainable over the long term.
Objects: The Objects For Which The Charity Is Established (The “Objects”) Are Restricted To Promoting For The Public Benefit Human Rights (As Set Out In The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights And Subsequent United Nations Conventions And Declarations) Throughout The World By All Or Any Of The Following Means:1. Raising Awareness Of Human Rights Issues;2. Promoting Public Support For Human Rights;3. Contributing To The Sound Administration Of Human Rights Law: And 4. Promoting Respect For Human Rights Among Individuals And Corporations
