Objects: (1) To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Socialwelfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Innorth Alierdale Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Theiryouth, Age Infirmity Or Disability, Financial Hardship Or Socialcircumstances With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life.(2) The Promotion Of The Voluntary Sector For The Benefit Of The Publicthrough The Provision Of Advice, Support And Assistance To Registeredcharities And Voluntary Organisations In North Allerdale. (voluntaryorganisations Are Those That Are Established For Purposes That Add Valueto The Community As A Whole, Or A Significant Section Of The Community,and Which Are Not Permitted By Their Constitution To Make A Profit Forprivate Distribution. Voluntary Organisations Do Not Include Localgovernment Or Other Statutory Authorities.)(3) To Act As A Resource For Young People Up To The Age Of 25 Living In Northallerdale By Providing Advice And Assistance And Organisingprogrammes Of Physical, Educational And Other Activities As A Means Of:(a) Advancing In Life And Helping Young People By Developingtheir Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them Toparticipate In Society As Independent, Mature And Responsibleindividuals;(b) Advancing Education;(c) Providing Recreational And Leisure Time Activity In The Interestsof Social Welfare For People Living In The Area Of Benefit Whohave Need By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disability,poverty Or Social And Economic Circumstances With A View Toimproving The Conditions Of Life Of Such Persons;(d) Assisting Any Charity In North Allerdale Whose Aims Includesadvancing Education Of Persons Under The Age Of 25 Years.(4) The Relief Of Unemployment In North Allerdale In Such Ways As May Bethought Fit, Including Assistance To Find Employment.
