The charity's mission is to combat food waste and thereby reduce food poverty by supporting communities and groups (its network members) which work with people who have:Low or no income, poor access to affordable nutritious food and a lack of knowledge or skills or equipment to ensure food is safe and prepared properly.
Objects: A) To Promote The Voluntary Sector For The Benefit Of The Public By:1) The Distribution Of Food To Charities And Voluntary Organisations;2) Encouraging Members Of The Public To Undertake Voluntary Work; And3) Providing Education And Training To The Voluntary Sector."the Voluntary Sector" Means Charities And Voluntary Organisations.charities Are Organisations, Which Are Established For Exclusively Charitable Purposes In Accordance With The Law Of England And Wales.voluntary Organisations Are Independent Organisations Which Are Established For Purposes That Add Value To The Community As A Whole, Or A Significant Section Of The Community, And Which Are Not Permitted By Their Constitution To Make A Profit For Private Distribution.
