The Trust makes grants of money to organisations and individuals resident or operating within the area of benefit which is an area within ten miles as the crow flies from any of the parish churches of Holsworthy, Langtree or Halwill in the County of Devon
Objects: The Trustees Must Apply The Income Of The Charity In The Promotion Of General Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of The Area Of Benefit And Its Surrounding Area. In Particular, But Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Objects, The Trustees May Apply The Income Of The Charity For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of The Area Of Benefit And Its Surrounding Area By Any Of The Following Methods:(i) The Maintenance, Improvement Or Provision Of Public Amenities.(ii) The Provision Of Recreational Facilities For The Public At Large Or For Those Who By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Have Need Of Such Facilities.(iii) The Promotion Of Community Participation In Healthy Recreation In Particular By The Provision Of Facilities For The Playing Of Sports Of All Kinds.(iv) The Protection Or Conservation Of The Environment.(v) The Provision Of Public Health Facilities And Childcare.(vi) The Preservation Of Buildings Or Sites Of Historic Or Architectural Importance.(vii) The Advancement Of The Education Of Residents Of All Ages.(viii) The Provision Of Opportunities For Residents To Participate Fully In The Life Of Their Community In Ways Which Address And Alleviate Social And Economic Disadvantage.(ix) The Relief Of Financial Hardship, Either Generally Or Individually By Making Grants Of Money For Providing Or Paying For Items And Services Or Facilities.(x) The Relief Of Sickness Or Disability, Or The Preservation Of Health, Either Generally Of Individually Through The Provision Of Grants, Goods Or Services.(xi) The Relief Of Elderly People Who Are In Need Either Generally Or Individually, Through The Provision Of Grants, Goods Or Services.(xii) The Grant Of Money To Other Registered Charities Operating Wholly Or Partly In The Area Of Benefit Or To Any Disaster Of Similar Public Appeal Fund Intended To Provide Support Or Relief For Persons Suffering Or In Need Who Reside In Or Are Connected With The Area Of Benefit.
