GUST provides education and training to young people with learning/social difficulties who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, working with students to improve their academic, social, moral and personal development to enhance their ?life chances? within the local and wider communities with a view towards gaining future employment.
Objects: The Charity's Objects (the Objects) Are(a) To Develop The Capacity And Skills Of The Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Community Of Northumberland In Such A Way That They Are Better Able To Identify, And Help Meet, Their Needs And To Participate More Fully In Society.(b) To Advance The Education Of Socially And Economically Disadvantaged Persons In The Local Area By Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities (not Required To Be Provided By The Local Education Authority) For Education By The Organization.(c) The Relief Of Unemployment For The Benefit Of The Public In Such A Way Be Thought Fit Including The Provision Of Training To Increase Chances Of Finding Employment.
