Activities
The charity provides a range of centre based and outreach services from the centre's site in Barton Hill, in Bristol.Key projects deliver services to support local families and young children and support for local community activities to promote community cohesion and engagement. The Settlement manages a hub of agencies on its site and offers rooms for training.
Objects: (A) To Promote The Benefit Of All The Residents Of Barton Hill, Redfield And Surrounding Areas In The City And County Of Bristol And The Adjoining Neighbourhood (Hereafter Called The 'Area Of Benefit') Without Distinction Of Sex Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating The Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations And Residents In A Common Effort To Advance Education, For The Relief Of Poverty And To Provide Facilities In The Interest Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Residents;(b) To Establish Or To Secure The Establishment Of A Community Centre At Barton Hill (Hereinafter Called 'The Centre') And To Maintain And Manage, Or To Co-Operate With Any Partner Organisation In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted By The Charity And Its Constituent Bodies In Furtherance Of The Above Objects.
