Activities

BCA aims to enhance the life of the inhabitants of Barton by providing community facilities and developing and managing projects of a charitable nature. It has developed a strong record of developing and managing local projects such as a community cafe, social events, family activities, research, youth provision and learning with the core value of the work being led and owned by the community.

Objects: To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Barton And The Surrounding Area (Nowknown As The Area Of Benefit) Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Ofpolitical, Religious Or Other Opinions, By Associating Together The Said Inhabitants Andthe Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advanceeducation And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Andleisure-Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Saidinhabitants To Establish, Or Secure The Establishment Of, A Community Centre (Hereinafter Called"the Centre") And To Maintain And Manage The Same (Whether Alone Or In Co-Operationwith Any Local Authority Or Other Person Or Body In Furtherance Of These Objectsto Promote Such Other Charitable Purposes As May From Time To Time Be Determined.
