Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency (MVDA) is the local development and support organisation for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Middlesbrough. Its role is to support, promote and develop local voluntary and community action through a range of practical provision, engagement services and projects.

Objects: To Promote Any Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Community Throughout The Local Government Area Of Middlesbrough And Beyond In Such Ways As The Trustees Shall From Time To Time Decide (hereinafter Called "the Area Of Benefit") And, In Particular, The Advancement Of Education, The Protection Of Health And The Relief Of Poverty, Distress And Sickness.to Promote And Organise Co-Operation In The Achievement Of The Above Purposes And To That End To Bring Together In Council Representatives Of The Voluntary Organisations And Statutory Authorities Within The Area Of Benefit
