Activities
The Chinese Alliance Churches Union (UK) seeks to be an indigenous federation of Chinese evangelical churches according to the tradition of Christian And Mission Alliance, whose purposes are to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord, to assist the advance of His church in the United Kingdom, and to promote a missionary base for national and world-wide evangelization in affiliation with the AWF.
Objects: 4. The charity’s objects (‘Objects’) are specifically restricted to: 4.1 promoting the Christian Faith in all parts of the world in accordance with the Doctrinal Statement set out in Appendix 1, including (but not limited to) by all or any of the following means: (a) The proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to people of all nations, and in particular (but not exclusively) those who speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese, and the discipleship of all those who become Christians through receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord so that they may grow in spiritual maturity and understanding. ?(b) Fostering the growth of church as an indigenous body of Christ. (c) The education and training of Christians for the ministries of the Church both at home and overseas and the encouragement of Christians to become established as active members of their local churches.(d) Facilitating evangelism and Christian training in Churches and organisations that agree with the Doctrinal Statement (as set out in Appendix 1) and conduct their affairs consistently with it.(e) The establishment and encouragement of churches related in fellowship with the Union around the world who share the purposes of the Union in the proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.4.2 letting out the Union's facilities for educational and other charitable activities which are compatible with promoting the Christian Faith in accordance with the Doctrinal Statement.Nothing in the articles shall authorise an application of the property of the charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
