Activities

Accessible Arts & Media runs a range of inclusive creative learning and wellbeing projects for groups including disabled adults and young people, older people with dementia and people with enduring mental health problems. Our projects help people develop the skills and confidence to connect with their local community and have more of a say in the things that matter to them.

Objects: 1. To Promote, Maintain, Improve And Advance Arts And Media Education And Open Access To The Arts In York And The Surrounding Area By Organising Training And Workshops, Providing Facilities And Information, Supporting Groups And Individuals In The Development Of Projects And Skills To Focus Actively On Those Who May Not Otherwise Enjoy Such Access Through Age, Race, Disability, Social, Economic Or Other Circumstances2. To Further Benefit The Residents Of York And The Surrounding Area By Establishing Or Securing The Establishment Of A Community And Media Centre And By Maintaining Or Managing Or Co-Operating With Any Statutory Authority Or Other Relevant Organisation In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre
