Provides benefit for persons in West Lancashire by the provision of temporay accommodation for persons who are in conditions of need, hardship and distress.
Objects: The Objects Of The Charity Shall Be (without Distinction Whether By Or Of Race, Sex, Political, Religious Or Other Beliefs Or Opinions) For Persons In Necessitous Circumstances Upon Terms Appropriate To Their Means To:-(1) Provide Social Housing, Houses Or Hostels Or Temporary Accommodation Of Any Description And Any Associated Amenities And Services;(2) Provide Services, Advice Or Assistance To Those Persons Housed By The Charity Or Who Are Suffering Hardship;(3) Provide Advice And Guidance On Health Matters;(4) Provide Recreation Or Other Leisure Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For Persons In Charitable Need;(5) Relieve Poverty Amongst Persons In Charitable Need;(6) Provide, Facilitate Or Advance Education, Training Or Re-Training, Particularly Among Unemployed People Or Providing Or Facilitating The Provision Of Work Experience For Unemployed People Or For Others For Public Benefit;(7) Promote For The Public Benefit Urban Or Rural Regeneration Areas Of Social And Economic Deprivation By All Or Any Of The Following Means:(a) The Provision Of Financial Assistance, Technical Assistance Or Business Advice Or Consultancy In Order To Provide Training And Employment Opportunities For Unemployed People In Cases Of Financial Or Other Charitable Needs Through Help (i) In Setting Up Their Own Business, Or (ii) To Existing Businesses;(8) The Creation Of Training And Employment Opportunities By The Provision Of Workspace, Buildings, And/or Land For Use On Favourable Terms;(9) The Maintenance, Improvement Or Provision Of Public Amenities;(10) The Provision Of Childcare;(11) The Promotion Of Public Safety And Prevention Of Crime;(12) Such Other Means As May From Time To Time Be Determined Subject To The Prior Written Consent Of The Charity Commission For England And Wales.
