Activities
Sefton CVS promotes voluntary,community and faith activity in the borough of Sefton and surrounding areas by means of providing services to and support for voluntary, community and faith organisations.CVS acts as the principal coordinating and umbrella infrastructure organisation and is a conduit between voluntary sector organisations, through networks and joint working, and the statutory sector.
Objects: 1.1 The Objects Of The Charity Shall Be:1.1.1 To Promote Any Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Community In The Borough Of Sefton (And In Such Other Areas As The Trustees Determine From Time To Time) And In Particular (But Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing):1.1.1.1. The Advancement Of Education;1.1.1.2. The Advancement Of Health; And1.1.1.3. The Prevention And Relief Of Poverty; And1.1.1.4. The Relief Of Those In Need, By Reason Of Youth, Age, Ill Health, Disability, Financial Hardship Or Other Disadvantage.1.1.2 To Promote And Organise Cooperation In The Achievement Of The Above Purposes And To That End To Bring Together Representatives Of The Statutory Authorities And Voluntary Organisations Engaged In The Furtherance Of The Above Purposes Within The Borough Of Sefton (And In Such Other Areas As The Trustees Determine From Time To Time).1.1.3 To Advance Any Other Exclusively Charitable Purpose According To The Law Of England And Wales As The Trustees May Determine From Time To Time.
