Objectives: 2 The association's purposes are: (a) Our purpose. the advancement of animal welfare. our charity plays a pivotal role in preventing suffering and promoting relief to dogs in several meaningful ways. (b) How do we achieve this. • Timely Rescue: Lost dogs are vulnerable to injury, starvation, dehydration, and exposure to harsh weather. Trapping teams locate and safely capture these animals before they suffer further. • Avoiding Harmful Encounters: Dogs on the loose may encounter traffic, aggressive animals, or humans who may mistreat them. Reuniting minimizes these risks. • Reducing Stress and Fear: Many lost dogs are frightened and disoriented. Out trapping equipment and methods reduce the stress of being chased or cornered. • Reuniting Families: The emotional relief for both the dog and the owner upon reunion is profound. Dogs often suffer emotionally when separated from their families. • Providing Medical Attention: Once located, dogs can be assessed and treated for injuries or illnesses they may have sustained while lost. • Offering Shelter and Safety: If the owner cannot be found immediately, the team ensures the dog is placed in a safe environment, such as a foster home or shelter. • Educating the Public: These teams often raise awareness about pet safety, tracking devices, microchipping, and responsible ownership, helping prevent future incidents. (c) Where we operate. we offer our services to any owners who need support with reunited with their missing dogs, across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. (d) What support we need. we are made up of a small network of local volunteers within Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, who give up their own time freely to enable us to provide this service. We work as a team to be available and on hand as often as possible to support owners and lost dogs. Purchase of equipment to enable us to continue with our vital work is funded solely by the public's kind generosity and donations. Every single penny is gratefully appreciated by the team and is used solely for the purposes of operating the charity.
