Nature and purpose of funds
The Robertson trust Fund was used for the youth work that the organisation provides to the youth living within the community ~~.~~ The Funding received from Experience Africa Ltd was used for by the organisation to host the cultural day event ~~.~~ The funding support received from Kenyan Women in Scotland and Thermo Electron were used to provide training for volunteers, youth and other disadvantaged group within the community ~~.~~ The Grants received from African Challenge, Waverley Care, Dentsu UK limited, Famor Adeola and Donations from individuals were used for the administrative cost of the charity for the year ~~.~~

During the financial period, Jambo! Radio SCIO made significant progress in advancing its charitable purposes for public benefit. The charity continued to operate as a community-led media and cultural platform, delivering multilingual radio broadcasting, podcasts, and digital content that amplified under-represented voices, particularly people of African and Caribbean heritage and other marginalised communities in Scotland. The charity successfully delivered education and training activities in broadcast and audiovisual media, including radio presenting, audio production, podcasting, and digital storytelling. These activities were provided through workshops, mentoring, and practice-based learning, supporting participants to develop creative and transferable skills, increase confidence, and progress towards volunteering, further education, or employment within the creative industries. The trustees confirm that, during the financial period, Jambo! Radio SCIO carried out its activities in furtherance of its charitable purposes and for the public benefit, in line with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and OSCR guidance. The charity’s activities provided clear public benefit by improving access to education, skills development, and participation in media and creative industries for individuals who face barriers to engagement, particularly people from African and Caribbean heritage communities and other marginalised groups. Through multilingual broadcasting, training, volunteering, and cultural programming, Jambo! Radio promoted equality, social inclusion, and community cohesion.
