Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

Troon Men's Shed was set up to establish and run a Men’s Shed in Troon with: - A practical space where members can take part in activities, such as woodwork, gardening, crafts etc. - A social space where members can relax, grab a cuppa and chat to others. Whilst we work to obtain our own premises we: - hold fortnightly social gatherings with occasional guest speakers - arrange visits to places of interest - take part in community events

Objectives: The purpose of the organisation is to provide recreational facilities and advance the social needs, health and well being of men of all ages and backgrounds living in Troon and surrounding areas. By: a) Creating, developing and maintaining a facility, namely a Men’s Shed. b) Offering opportunities for men in the Troon area to meet and undertake creative, physical, purposeful and recreational activities of their choice. c) Reducing isolation of men in the area thus contributing to their physical and mental wellbeing. d) Developing the capacity of men in the Troon area to share their skills and knowledge with others in the community.
