The AIMS Project is a small Charitable Trust (SC053239) based in North Lanarkshire, initially supported by a group of volunteers and established as a registered Charity in March 2024 to provide support to particularly disadvantaged young people aged 15-18 years, primarily young people with mental health and wellbeing challenges, that are negatively affecting their ability to flourish in all aspects of their lives. to engage in mainstream education, and other family, learning, and social activities. At AIMS we believe in the potential of all young people. We understand that some young people learn in very different ways and that the young people we seek to support often have very real challenges to overcome. We believe these young people should not be left behind and offer Programmes and support designed to improve their life chances.

Objectives: The organisation’s purposes are: The AIMS Project will provide support services and learning opportunities to young people aged 14-18 years with additional support needs, from particularly disadvantaged communities in North Lanarkshire, to enable them to have improved life chances in relation to Education, Training, Employment and overall wellbeing. a) the prevention or relief of poverty b) the advancement of education c) the advancement of health d) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
