Objectives and activities Charitable purposes Castlevale Youth Development Club is a progressive football academy where children come first. The children will be expertly coached in all aspects of football. Our sessions have been carefully devised to ensure children of all ages and abilities receive the best tuition possible to improve their knowledge and enjoyment of the game. Our aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment where children can learn all aspects of playing football. All of our training sessions are designed to develop physical fitness and improve stamina. We teach basic balance and co-ordination exercises that lead to more advanced technical skills, including defending, attacking and positional j play. Above all, all children are encouraged to develop their skills and talents at their own pace. We cater for children from as young as 5 up to young adults. We have teams at soccer 4's, 5's, 7's, 9s and teams who play 11 a side. We believe that football should be accessible for all. Additionally, we strive to provide football and sporting opportunities for the community of Niddrie, once of the most deprived areas in Edinbur.g.h. APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of Throughout the year, Castlevale Youth Development Club has run the charity during the financial period numerous training camps and smaller group sessions, not only forthe players who are in the club, but for those in the wider community. We have also taken some of the boys away to play in tournaments, funded by the club, and this has been very beneficial, not only In football terms, but in general terms and they still talk about the trip months later. This is something they would not have been able to afford otherwise.
