Objectives and activities
Charitable purposes
Castlevale Youth Development Club is a progressive football academy
where children come first. The children will be expertly coached in all
aspects of football. Our sessions have been carefully devised to
ensure children of all ages and abilities receive the best tuition
possible to improve their knowledge and enjoyment of the game. Our
aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment where children can
learn all aspects of playing football. All of our training sessions are
designed to develop physical fitness and improve stamina.
We teach basic balance and co-ordination exercises that lead to more
advanced technical skills, including defending, attacking and positional
j play. Above all, all children are encouraged to develop their skills and
talents at their own pace. We cater for children from as young as 5 up
to young adults. We have teams at soccer 4's, 5's, 7's, 9s and teams
who play 11 a side. We believe that football should be accessible for
all. Additionally, we strive to provide football and sporting
opportunities for the community of Niddrie, once of the most deprived
areas in Edinbur.g.h.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of Throughout the year, Castlevale Youth Development Club has run
the charity during the financial period
numerous training camps and smaller group sessions, not only forthe
players who are in the club, but for those in the wider community. We
have also taken some of the boys away to play in tournaments, funded
by the club, and this has been very beneficial, not only In football
terms, but in general terms and they still talk about the trip months
later. This is something they would not have been able to afford
otherwise.
