Structure, governance and management

Type of governing document Trustee recruitment and appointment	Constitution.
	Trustees are appointed at an Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Office Bearers (Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer) are elected as Trustees, by members of the Parent Forum (parents and carers of children attending St John Vianney RC Primary School and Early Learning Centre) who are present at the AGM. In addition, one Office Bearer of the St John Vianney RC Primary School Parent Council is co-opted as a Trustee, and one representative of the combined St John Vianney, St Catherine and St Gregory RC parish is also co-opted as a Trustee. Up to 3 individuals who are school support staff, ex-pupils or community members may also be co-opted as Trustees.
Objectives and activities
Charitable purposes Summary of the main activities in relation to these objects
	The advancement of education.
	It promotes close co-operation and communication between parents and school staff. The charity promotes equality and fairness. It studies and discusses matters of mutual interest relating to the education and welfare of pupils. It engages in activities which support and advance the education of pupils attending the school. It provides every P7 pupil with a partially or fully-funded leavers celebration at the end of their learning journey at St. John Vianney RC Primary school.

Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period

The charity supported the St John Vianney RC Primary School Parent Council in their activities by volunteering their services but did not carry out any financial transactions as a bank account had not been established. The charity applied to OSCR for a change in name to become St John Vianney Primary School Charitable Trust and achieved the change in name. The charity finalised the draft of the new charity Constitution which redefined the aims of the charity as: The advancement of education which will be achieved by the following methods: a) Support of the School and Parent Council in provision of academic, extracurricular, social or wellbeing enrichment materials and experiences for the benefit of the pupils at St John Vianney RC Primary School. b) Facilitation of equitable access by pupils from all backgrounds to academic, extracurricular, social or wellbeing enrichment activities supported by the school, thus assisting St John Vianney RC Primary School in pursuing their equality, diversity and inclusion aims. The charity notified OSCR of the impending change in purpose of the charity as stated in the draft constitution.
