Maryam Empowering Futures (MEF) supports women, children, and young people—especially from Afghan and refugee communities—through education, language support, mental health sessions, and cultural activities. We aim to reduce isolation, build confidence, and promote active citizenship. We deliver language classes, support groups, cultural events, youth clubs, and basic religious education. All our activities are women-led and community-driven, creating a safe, inclusive space for learning, healing, and growth.
Objectives: The organisation's purposes are: A) Empowering Women: A.1 To advance education by supporting women in building confidence and acquiring new skills, with a focus on fostering personal growth and empowerment. A.2 To relieve poverty by providing targeted assistance to women from isolated backgrounds, enabling their participation in skill-building and empowerment activities. B) Providing Education and Language Support: B.1 To advance education by offering further education support and language assistance, enabling women to access educational opportunities and enhance their employability. C) Wellness and Self-Care: C.1 To advance health by providing peace and self-care programs that contribute to the maintenance of mental and emotional well-being among women D) Skill Development: D.1 To promote education and skill development by offering a diverse range of activities that enhance individual skills, promote self-expression, physical well-being, and teamwork, and to promote equality and diversity by focusing on encouraging and supporting women to pursue careers in TECH and STEM fields.
