OPA chairman’s report

2024 – 25, proved to be another busy and productive year for Orkney Prostate Awareness.

Highlights:

On reflection, 2024-25 has built upon the strong foundations laid in our maiden year. The continued support of the Orkney community is still strongly felt and greatly appreciated. There continues to be steady feedback from members of the community, via word of mouth or through email about how the work of the OPA has encouraged them, or people close to them, to get checked or seek help which is fantastic to hear and which is the fundamental aim of our charity.

Looking forward towards 2025-26. We will continue to offer financial assistance to those who require it due to costs associated with prostate issues. We are hoping to continue raising awareness through continued local events and look forward to revisiting some of our more successful events such as the Mud Run, parish cuppa events and beyond.
