Moffat Golf Club (SCIO) advances public participation by making golf accessible, affordable and welcoming—especially for youth—through three key activities: 1. Quality facilities: We own and operate an 18-hole course and clubhouse at Coatshill, Moffat, continually investing in improvements—recently adding a greens mower, bunker-bank mower and upgraded drainage—to ensure top playing conditions. 2. Partnership development:In collaboration with Dumfriesshire Golfers Association and Scottish Golf, we deliver coaching and competitions. In 2024 our junior programme engaged 30 young players, and a full season of club and open events enjoyed strong participation. 3. Inclusive membership: Competitive rates and junior concessions lower barriers: 11 new members joined this year (total 191), with winter memberships growing. Visitor green fees from across Scotland and beyond further support our community focus.

Objectives: The organisations purposes are: The advancement of public participation in sport And in furtherance of above it shall do the following: Maintain and manage the golf course and clubhouse at Moffat. Work together with other agencies to promote and develop the sport of golf within the club. Provide affordable membership for all who wish to partake in the game of golf and promote golf for Juniors as a valuable community amenity.
