The Holding Space is a charity organisation created with the aim of providing early intervention and preventative services to support the mental health and well-being of children, young people, and families. Our approach is centred around relationship-based and trauma-informed practices while utilising a holistic approach. We believe that by addressing the root causes of issues facing children, young people, and families, we can create lasting positive change in their lives. Our services will focus on early intervention and preventative measures, giving families and individuals the tools that they need to overcome challenges and build resilience. We believe that investing in the well-being of children and young people will create a positive ripple effect in society, leading to healthier and more prosperous communities. The Holding Space is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based support services, rooted in compassion and understanding.

Objectives: 4 The organisation’s purposes in relation to charitable purposes stated in the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (the 2005 Act 4.1 the prevention or relief of poverty, The Holding space provide a service which supports children, young people and families who maybe experiencing hardships, adversities and poverty. within the principal office we will provide food and drink for our young people while they attend. we can also sign post families to supportive services such as food banks benefit maximisation officers to ensure that each family have access to all supports that are available. We also aim to work with children and families to provide emotional support within a therapeutic relationship in order to work through any barriers that maybe holding them back from attending school, further education or training or employment. This would support families with vocational destination improvement supporting prevention or relief of poverty. the purpose of the charity is to support young people to explore their developmental potential, gifts and talents in order to pursue a vocation that could support them physically, emotionally, socially and financially 4.2 the advancement of education, The Holding Space will work alongside schools to work with children on their emotional well-being as well as any supports that are needed within the family home to ensure that children and young people are in the best position to meet the national curriculum for excellence. As identified in the national policy of 'the promise' trauma informed work practice is the most beneficial way to work with children and young people in order to support them to fully engage in the education system. Research shows that working with children and young people within a therapeutic relationship best supports positive outcomes which is the underpinning of our charity. we aim to identify what barriers children and young people face in relation to school attendance and working with families and supports in relation to this. 4.3 the advancement of health, The Holding Space will work with children, young people and families in a therapeutic way to support emotional well being and positive mental health. We also aim to combat social isolation by providing a service where young people can engage with their peer group, removing social isolation also has a positive impact on emotional wellbeing. The program also aims to provide physical health benefits with programs including yoga and Pilates allowing children and young people to engage in physical exercise. we are also including a program of cooking and learning about foods and exploring a healthy balanced diet as well as ensuring that children received a healthy meal while attending the service. 4.4 the advancement of citizenship or community development, The children and young people that we aim to work with will be involved in the development of the services providing their contribution to the service will support community development. We want to provide a service where children and young people can spend time building relationships with the workers as well as their peer group which will provide positive outcomes for community development. The services outlined such as 8 week program will cover areas such as emotional and physical well being as well as learning skills such as cooking food, learning make up, holistic services such as meditation, mindfulness, crystal healing and reiki, these are skills that can be used throughout their lives and contribute to the their surrounding community and promote positive engagement. We have also found there is not a lot of activities for young people to do that does not cost money which can lead to disruptive behaviours in the community, this space within our Chairty will provide somewhere where young people can social interact in a positive way with theme nights, movie nights and a space where they can come and talk with someone when they may be struggling ensuring that they are not isolated. The therapeutic space is to promote connectedness for young people and explore their talents and gifts as an individual and develop these in a positive way. 4.5 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, The development of the programs and activities within the program will be built with the input for the children, young people and families that we intend to work with in recognising what is needed to improve the lives of all families that we work with. the charity will provide activities that ensure that each child is having fun and enjoyment as well as working within a trusted relationship that will promote positive outcomes. there will be cooking classes, make up tutorial, Pilates, yoga, cinema nights, outings all of which we have consulted young people..
